A few weeks ago we joined a great group of digital media professionals for our very first Industry Camp. In one of the rooms, the conversations between professionals, educators and students was very inspiring. We thought, that is a great idea, let’s bring professionals, educators, parents and students together each week and explore various career paths. The participants of that first Industry Camp were kind enough to offer to facilitate a session on Virtual ParentCamp. So here we go!
So if you know anyone (professional or educators) in the digital media industry from across the globe, please invite them this week so they can share their knowledge with parents and students. We guarantee the professionals and educators will learn just as much! One of the interesting things we learned is that digital media has a large amount of job categories are in it. Registration is open now until 4 pm ET/1 pm PT on Wednesday, May 20th. Please share this email with anyone who may be interested in attending! Due to the size of our Zoom account and managing the event, it will be limited to 100 participants. You will receive a login link to the email you register with at 5 pm ET/2 pm PT.
Flow for the night:
7:50 pm – 8 :00 pm ET/4:50 pm – 5:00 pm PT – Login
8:05 pm/5:05 pm – The Zoom door closes because being present together during the opening 10 minutes is a design feature of ParentCamp.
8:00 pm – 8:10 pm ET/5:00 pm – 5:10 pm PT – Introduction & Ground rules
8:10 pm – 8:50 pm ET/5:10 pm – 5:50 pm PT – Session, you may change sessions anytime during this time
8:50 pm – 9:00 pm ET/5:50 pm – 6:00 pm PT – Wrap-up & Share Out
We will be using PearDeck to share everyone’s thoughts, so please either have another tab open or on another device go to joinpd.com. We will give you the join code when you join the Zoom.
