You may have heard about the benefits of mindfulness and all that meditation can offer. But, you’re skeptical about how it can fit in your life and even more dubious that you can make the time to do it consistently. Never fear. In this session, we’ll talk about mindfulness is and what it isn’t and discuss practical strategies you can use to bring mindfulness into your life, family, and work.
Claire Parsons is an experienced school attorney, prolific writer and speaker, community leader, mom, and a meditation teacher. She is the founder of the Brilliant Legal Mind blog which offers resources and education for lawyers and professionals to help them use mindfulness to take their minds from burdened to brilliant.

Facilitator: Dennis Mathew (@storiesbydennis), Children’s Author
Time to share stories of being a parent and everyone will realize that they are “not alone”. This is going to be such an enjoyable room.
Dennis Mathew is a husband, father, elementary school speech pathologist, singer-songwriter and author. For over 20 years Dennis has had the joy and honor of working with children in public schools and through non profit work. In 2018, he launched his authorship, bringing children’s stories integrating social emotional wholeness, language enrichment, critical thinking, conflict resolution and character development to life. His published works so far are “Bello the Cello”, “My Wild First Day of School”, and “How Grizzly Found Gratitude”. He is also a singer-songwriter with a published music album for schools called, “The Let’s Roar Experience”. Through his books and music Dennis has reached tens of thousands of students worldwide since 2018.

Larry is back with us this week and one of our most popular rooms – the Harvard Family Engagement Course. Family school engagement can be much more than parents attending regular teacher parent meetings. In this room we’ll entertain the fourth discussion in a series looking at research based methods for engaging parents more fully to create improved outcomes for children.

There is a lot of talk about diversity, equity and inclusion lately. Cam is going to be leading a conversation in a safe space where people can come together, talk, share their experiences, be transparent, vulnerable, learn from each other and become a caring community.
Cam is an Emmy Nominated, 6 time USA National Champion, 4 time Golden Gloves National Champion, 2 Time Olympic Trials Champion Heavyweight boxer, and former Captain of the USA National boxing team. Cam Awesome is also a proud Member of the National Speakers Association. Cam is a diversity consultant whose overall goal is to address “the elephant in the room” in a way to create change, not place blame.
