We are so excited to kick off Virtual ParentCamp in 2021! A great way to learn, connect, strengthen and collaborate!  ©ParentCamp, 2016-2021, All Rights Reserved

Join us for our first Virtual ParentCamp of 2021 on January 13, 2021 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT.  We have missed everyone but hope you all have had a restful, healthy and enjoyable holiday break!

Registration is open, just visit our Events page:  www.parentcamp.org/events.

Please make sure you have downloaded/updated to the latest version of Zoom!  Either download an update to your tablet/phone or download the update on your computer.  You may ask why??? With the new version, you will be able to change rooms on your own!  Even though Julie will miss seeing you all in the main room, you can now change rooms by yourself, but you need the latest version of Zoom in order to do it.  She will still be in the main room if you need assistance, it is ok.

Here we go!

Room 1  [Strengthen] – Setting Family Resilience and Self-Care Intentions in the New Year

Facilitator:  Sarah Zawaly, Clinical Program Manager, The Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (@CincyChildrens)

2020 took its toll on everyone – children and adults.  Make it a priority to take care of yourself and your family.  Sarah Zawaly is a great resource to help families create healing environments.  Start building your support system by connecting with others in the room.  We need each other now more than ever.

Room 2 [Strengthen] – Addressing Family Trauma with Love Languages

Facilitator:  Scott Sells, (Ph. D.), Founder, Family Trauma Institute

We are thrilled to have Scott with us this week.  Scott joined us during Radical Family Engagement Virtual ParentCamp.  His session was so well received, we asked him to join us for National Virtual ParentCamp.  Scott is an author of numerous publications and books.  He developed the Parenting with Love and Limits (PLL) Logic Model which is being used across the US and Europe.

Room 3 [Strengthen] – Maryland:  How to Engage Parents Online to Make a Difference in their Families and Communities

Facilitator:  Keri Hyde, Executive Director, Ready at Five (@ReadyAtFive) Co-Chair, Maryland Family Engagement Coalition (@MDEngageEarly)
Facilitator:  Dorothy Stotlz, Director for Community Engagement, Carroll County Public Library (@LibraryCCPL)

We are so excited to have Maryland in the Virtual ParentCamp house!  We hope this is the beautiful beginning of a long partnership for family-school-community engagement.  Right now, everyone is on-line in some form, how can we connect and still make a difference for our families and communities?

Register now at www.parentcamp.org/events and make sure you invite a friend!
