The most common question the ParentCamp team is asked is: How do we hold a ParentCamp at our school? The second most common question we are asked is: How do we start a parent organization at our school? This week we are going to tackle the second question. Julie Pile (@juliepile), ParentCamp team member is going to lead the discussion of how to start a parent organization at your school. Julie was instrumental in restarting the parent organization which was a PTSA at Boone County High School during the 2018-2019 school year. We will talk about the different parent organization types, the essential elements of getting one started, the logistics and steps, how you can ran easily raise funds and what are some types of programs to start with.
